Year 5 do DNA!

On Thursday 22nd June Year 5 children became DNA scientists for the day.

As well as meeting several scientists (who didn't look like scientists), the children got to see a million pound machine, which was extracting DNA for the scientists to study.

The children were shown DNA sequences and how they could be represented.  They then created DNA bracelets for different living things.  Who knew science could be pretty?

And obviously had lunch!
