Sports Premium Statement

At Nene Valley Primary school, we believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy, achieve, and shine through sport and physical activity. The Government’s Sports Premium funding enables us to enrich our PE provision, raise participation, and inspire children to lead healthy, active lives.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide every child with access to high-quality physical education, exciting sporting opportunities, and a culture that promotes health, well-being, teamwork, and a lifelong love of being active.

Main Objectives

We use Sports Premium funding to:

• Enhance the quality of PE teaching through specialist coaching and staff training.

• Broaden the range of sports and activities available to pupils.

• Provide opportunities for children to participate in inter-school and intra-school competitions.

• Develop active playtimes and promote physical activity throughout the school day.

• Improve resources and equipment to ensure inclusive access for all children.

Our commitment is to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, develops confidence, teamwork, resilience, and a passion for staying active. This approach supports not only physical health but also well-being, concentration, and achievement across the curriculum.
