Friends of Nene Valley
Friends of Nene Valley (FONV) is a charitable organisation set up by parents from Nene Valley Primary School. We support the school by fundraising for facilities and resources to enrich the school experience for our children.
We organise fun and interesting events which involve both the school and the wider community such as school discos and the annual Summer Fete. We also organise fundraising activities such as mufti days and seasonal competitions. Please see the noticeboard outside the main entrance, to the school, for the latest information and news or look on our events page of the school website. Funds raised from these events are used in various ways: outdoor equipment; the all-weather path around the field which enables access to play equipment and areas throughout the whole school year, and other extra activities for the pupils such as author or artist visits to the school.
We have a good sized committee but we would love new people to get involved - new members who can bring new ideas and suggestions for ways in which we can raise funds for the school are always welcome! An extra pair of willing hands is always needed at events.
Committee meetings take place once or twice a term from 6.15-7.15 pm in the school community room, accessed via the After School Club entrance on Campaign Avenue. We understand that not everyone will be able to make it to every meeting and the idea is that we share the workload and have volunteers to support our events to make them successful
If you are interested in joining the committee or helping out at an event please let the school office know or email us at email@example.com, or simply come along to the next committee meeting. We would welcome any help in any capacity to help make our school a better place.
